Pregnancy Risk Assessments
Once an employee informs the employer in writing that they are pregnant or breast feeding, a ‘Pregnant Employees Risk Assessment’ must be carried out to comply with regulations.
Employers are obliged to remove or prevent exposure to any significant risk to the employee while pregnant or breastfeeding.
These risk exposures can be noise, vibration, excessive heat, handling of loads and movement and postures which are abrupt and give rise to excessive fatigue.
