Course Details:

The Fire Safety traning course is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards within the work environment and to provide participants with the knowledge to protect themselves. A maximum of 12 participants can take part.

Objective:

On completion of the course participants will be able to:

• Understand the chemistry of fire
• Understand the difference between the various classes of fire extinguishers and their use
• Identify potential fire risks within their own work environment
• Use in a practical sense portable fire extinguishers on all classes of fire
• Understand the requirement for emergency procedures and the action to be taken in an emergency
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills with their own work environment

A practical demonstration of fire extinguishers is incorporated into the course where all participants get the opportunity to discharge a fire extinguisher.
