Course Details:

This course is suitable for anyone who might have to respond to emergencies in the home, workplace or in the community. This emergency first aid training course will also enable learners to act as a back up to qualified Occupational First Aiders in the workplace.

Objective:

Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to use a range of practical basic first aid skills which will enable them to deal competently and confidently with common injuries and illnesses. Participants will also be trained in the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of a person choking.

  1. Basic Principals of First Aid
  2. Scene Management
  3. First Aid Equipment
  4. Shock/Fainting/Unconsciousness – Focusing on Recovery position.
  5. Asthma Attack
  6. AD/CPR
  7. Stroke
  8. Heart Attack
  9. Bleeding & wounds
  10. Burns & Scalding
  11. Bandaging
